I assist Veterans with obtaining housing, maintaining life stability through various resources (mental health, addiction issues, homelessness, basic needs), and assist with helping Veterans achieve their career goals. Maintain a caseload for prevention, intervention, homeless to housing, employment, training, retention supports, and partnerships with other organizations that assist Veterans.Housing, Basic Needs, and Stabilization:Assist Veterans with locating housing options, section 8 vouchers, shelters, and other housing stability components. Provide Veterans with resources for mental health, VA information, and family resources. Provide resources for basic needs for stability and maintaining daily life. Community outreach and partnerships with other government agencies, non-profit organizations, housing agencies, and other service industries to help Veterans obtain housing, stability services, and other resources to maintain a healthy life. Document all services and case notes into multiple secure databases.Employment:Main employment duties include vocational assessments, resume writing, job search strategies, interview coaching which includes mock interviews, assist with starting and maintaining training courses, provide informed choice for employment goals by delivering labor market information and job requirements. Provide computer and technical support to customers who entered our assessment / job search lab. Community outreach to employers to help Veterans gain work while helping companies gain great employees.
