About Josephine Appiah
With a doctoral degree in the field of Health Services Research and a focus in Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services, I aim to increase accessibility to necessary mental health services and alleviate the stigma associated with mental health through a research and policy lens. Through various roles in the public, private, government, and nonprofit sectors, I will continue to work to utilize policy to improve the health and livelihood of diverse communities.Other research interests include: Health policy, Adolescent substance abuse and misuse, prescription drug misuse, barriers to substance abuse treatment access and utilization, intervention, program planning and evaluation, health and education disparities.
