ABOUT JOSEPHINE HENZE
I recently completed my Master of Science in Water Science, Policy and Management at the University of Oxford with Distinction (highest mark possible). I have 2+ years of work experience in sustainability and ESG consulting, particularly in preparing diverse clients for the EU mandated Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD, and ESRS) and B Corp certification. I\'m on a mission to tackle water use within increasing AI data centers and intensifying agriculture, reducing water demand albeit competing objectives. Supporting this mission, my Master\'s thesis focused on the water-related impacts of national decarbonization policies (expanding renewable energy and carbon capture and storage technologies) using an integrated assessment model, GCAM (Global Change Analysis Model), to map water-energy-land nexus interactions. This research is in the process of being published and was presented at the 2024 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Conference, the largest gathering of Earth and space scientists. I was awarded the Outstanding Student Presentation Award (OSPA) for my research presentation within the Global Environmental Change section at AGU. Additionally, I self-published my first cookbook in March 2025 titled \"The Quilt House Cookbook: Recipes from my Grandparent\'s Colorado Bed & Breakfast\".
