About Joe Dragone

I have over 30 years of experience in both urban and suburban school district leadership with a focus on cross-sector partnerships, school improvement, workforce and program development, data analysis and building organizational and instructional capacity. In my role as a regional leader, I have created partnerships with business, industry, higher education and government to launch new program opportunities for students and drive workforce development. I have led school and district improvement planning, commitment to 21st Century Skills, regional early college high school design and extensive facilities projects. As Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership Program, I serve as PI for student research projects and teach the doctoral research sequence with a focus on quantitative methods. I am proud to serve our region as a member of the Regional Economic Development Council, the Tech Valley FIRST Executive Advisory Board and on the boards of other nonprofit and higher education organizations.
