About Joseph Bissinger

Former Division I student-athlete with a strong work ethic and a passion for embracing challenges. I played four years of football at the University of Virginia, committing over 30 hours per week during the academic year to athletic responsibilities while earning my degree in Government in 2022. After UVA, I completed an M.S. in Management at the Cox School of Business at SMU, where I also continued my football career and graduated in 2023. I then worked as a Sales Associate for Alphatec Spine in Charlotte, NC, where I supported surgical sales operations and managed over $2M in company assets to help achieve the team’s sales objectives. In August 2025, I will return to SMU to pursue an MBA at the Cox School of Business, with an expected graduation in May 2026. I plan to specialize in finance, with a particular interest in corporate finance, and aim to transition into a role that allows me to apply strategic thinking, financial analysis, and leadership in a fast-paced business environment. I’m driven by continuous learning and excited to further develop my skills while expanding my professional network.
