About Joseph Liu
I am a Senior with the Audit Group at Grant Thornton in the Dallas office. I currently serve public clients within the Energy industry, working on various technical accounting topics, including derivatives and hedging, business combinations, leases, debt, revenue recognition, and accounting research.Prior to my time at GT, I spent over 2 years at Deloitte, in which I have experience in the planning and execution of AICPA and PCAOB financial statement audits and audits of internal controls for both large public and private clients, primarily in Financial Services, Tech, Investment Management, Oil and Gas, ESG, and Commercial Goods. I have also spent time on an Initial Public Offering (IPO) as well as worked with several international clients.I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with my Bachelor of Business Administration in 2022 and my Master of Accounting in 2023, gaining my CPA license shortly thereafter.
