Support the management of an operation of 120 people, covering despatch and coil inspection line activities within the Automotive Finishing Line and Further Process department, processing automotive and engineering-grade galvanised steel coils. 4th-generation steelworker with over 9 years’ experience in the industry, starting at 16 as a laboratory apprentice at Tata Steel Port Talbot. Built a strong foundation in metallurgical testing before progressing into Quality, operational and leadership roles, including Through Process Specialist and Quality & Process Improvement Lead, delivering quality-led improvement projects with significant cost savings and quality gains. Currently Deputy Production Manager at Tata Steel Llanwern, supporting the management of a 100+ person operation in despatch and automotive coil inspection, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and performance.Alongside my role, I’m studying for a BEng in Materials Science and Engineering and served as Chairperson of Magnet UK, Tata Steel’s young professionals network. I’m also a committee member for the Richard Burton 10k charity and Wellbeing Officer at UWTSD. Passionate about safety, process improvement, and developing people.
