   Major responsibilities for a natural gas and electric utility serving more than customers include- Developing and executing a proactive media relations strategy- Serving as a key team member for UGI\'s commitment to education and our communities, including being the in-house subject matter expert on education improvement tax credits and key issues such as early childhood literacy, STEM and career awareness- Managing UGI\'s promotional specialty items- Serving as editor of UGI\'s newsletter for legislative communications- Serving as UGI communications team lead for electric outage communications- Supporting UGI\'s efforts in employee and customer communications and social media as needed. My efforts in media relations has resulted in the following recent awards- First place in the Editorial/Op-Ed/Public Relations Category in the Utility Communicators International Better Communications Competition, 2012 - First and Third Place in the Editorial, Op-Ed/Public Relations Category in the Utility Communicators International Better Communications Competition, 2014 I have also served on the executive committee of the UGI state and federal Political Action Committee.
