ABOUT JOSEPH SORRENTINO

Currently, my position is an Assurance Associate in TPA department at BDO. Here at BDO we provide SOC audits to clients. I have gained a lot of experience in the audit field, learning the back ends of systems, team development/collaboration, and client engagements. In my previous position of being a camp counselor, supervising a vast group of campers with special needs ranging from all ages and executing activities for several days of the week helped me grow my management skills, along with my social skills. For all activities, it was one of my duties to explain to campers the instructions of the games and communicate with my fellow counselors about activities said for that day. Additionally, managing 30-60 campers per day guided me into developing leadership qualities. My developing expertises will pave the way for future work experiences.My communication skills from being a camp counselor helped further develop my skills as a Staten Island Advance paperboy. Being a paperboy, it was required to have the job finished by a certain time each day which progressed my hard working and time management skills. Furthermore, I am confident that I can be valuable asset to your team because of my alertness skills as a basketball referee. In this position I would have to ensure that the game is being played fairly and that no kids get hurt which further influenced my awareness. Some achievements I have obtained is deans list for 3 semesters at University at Albany.
