About Joseph Rodriguez
Joseph is Vice President of Finance at JCM Power, responsible for all non-recourse project financing of JCM’s renewable energy projects across the globe. He has more than 20 years of Project and Corporate Finance experience and joined JCM Power from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a division of the World Bank Group, where, as a Principal Investment Officer, was responsible for originating and executing financings of Power and Infrastructure projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining IFC Joseph was the CEO of a US based renewable energy developer, a company he led after a successful investment banking career with global institutions, holding senior leadership roles in London, South Africa and the Middle East. Joseph owns rich product and deal execution knowledge related to Project and Corporate Finance as well as infrastructure policy and project development. Within the Energy & Power sector, he has advised international sponsors and raised capital for power plants (IPP’s and IWPP’s) and distribution companies across different countries and challenging credit environments including several countries in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and North America. Joseph has received several deal and division awards by international banking publications such as Euromoney, Project Finance Magazine, MEED and IFR. Joseph holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School in New York and a Master and Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He has also completed executive level training in policy making and legislation for infrastructure development at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy graduate school of government.
