   Boston Symphony Orchestra

   Direct and oversee the facility operations and projects of the Boston Symphony Orchestra\'s Boston-based properties, including Symphony Hall, the Cohen Wing, and the North Building (collectively Symphony Hall Facilities). In addition to Symphony Hall, there is a building for administrative staff and event functions, plus adjacent investment properties that currently include a dozen ground level retail tenants. The venue hosts over 250 concerts and events with over patrons attending annually. Responsible for directing maintenance projects of varying size and complexity from initial concept through final project completion. Direct the effective oversight of the Symphony Hall Facilities capital and operating budgets. Partner with senior leadership, department directors and assigned committees in support of strategic programs and initiatives. Direct the management of all facilities staff in areas including maintenance and improvements, cleaning, public safety, security, grounds, parking, and other facilities operations in support of daily business operations and all functions, concerts and events. Direct the management of all critical systems and utilities and provide facilities oversight to ensure operational reliability and safe, positive workplace conditions. Direct facilities risk management, public safety and security operations. Liaise and coordinate activities and support with the retail property manager. Provide Facilities coverage during concerts, functions and events and perform Manager on Duty (MOD) and Incident Commander functions and other duties as assigned. Using the Facilities Condition Assessment System (FCA), historic preservation plans, studies and other resources and tools, participate in the development and administration of a strategic long-term capital improvement plan to advance organizational objectives.
