About Joseph Myers
I began my career as a technician in 1984 while pursuing a degree in Automotive and Diesel Technology at Oakland City University. After eight years in the heavy-duty diesel industry, I transitioned to the light and medium truck industry as a Ford Senior Master Technician, spending 20 years in the field before moving into education at Jefferson Community and Technical College in Louisville, KY. At Jefferson, I served as an instructor and later as program director for the Toyota T-TEN program, where I developed a skills-based curriculum to prepare students for the automotive industry. In 2013, I joined Toyota Motor North America as a Field Manager for the T-TEN program, eventually becoming Technician Development Manager in 2019, collaborating with organizations like the Department of Labor and Department of Education.
