Cargill Global Funding PLC is a key financial entity within Cargill\'s global Treasury function, dedicated to supporting the company’s affiliates worldwide. The organisation specialises in providing strategic funding solutions, foreign exchange services, and financial expertise to enable the growth and operational success of Cargill’s diverse businesses. As a Financial Management Trainee at Cargill, I am part of the Next Generation Graduate Programme, a two-year development initiative designed for trainees across the EMEA region. The programme offers invaluable on-the-job experiences, opportunities to collaborate with other trainees, and exceptional personal and professional development. As part of this journey, I work on business challenges alongside colleagues from diverse disciplines and locations, gaining exposure to different businesses, markets, and Cargill experts. Within the Treasury team, I contribute to key financial operations, including funding and foreign exchange services, financial performance analysis, and trading structure reconciliations. I am also involved in general accounting and reporting, such as preparing P&L Statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations. During the programme, I have the opportunity to rotate across various finance teams, including financial risk management, management information and decision support, and trade product control, enabling me to develop a broad skill set and deep understanding of Cargill\'s financial operations. Through this role, I am actively pursuing the CFA qualification while building leadership and technical expertise. Cargill Global Funding, as part of the global Treasury team, plays a pivotal role in managing financial risks, facilitating acquisitions and divestitures, and ensuring seamless financial operations across the organisation. With its commitment to innovation and excellence, the team collaborates with affiliates, relationship banks, and professional advisers to drive impactful outcomes.
