Management is the ability to take what you have learned and combine that with new information so one can guide team members to be the best they can be not because you ask or tell them, but because they want to be the best. This requires an ability to recognize opportunities of personal growth, recognizing personality traits of team members, and the ability to relay information in a manner that the team members can understand and use effectively. Every day we have these opportunities and it is up to us to maximize what we get out of them.I view myself as a manager that strives to maximize the opportunities above. Having a connection with team members is more than a casual hello as you pass by. It is getting to know each member while keeping it professional. It is here that I believe I can get the team to work together for the common goal because they enjoy seeing the finished product.I believe in achieving goals as a team. As a manager and a team leader, my success has always been deflected to the team and absorbing disappointments onto my shoulders. With both success and disappointments, I always ask how can we be better. How can we be more efficient?
