The Director, ConstructionServices is responsible forperforming professional workand overseeing themanagement and monitoring ofwork on capital buildingprojects. Ensures that jobs arecompleted on time and withinbudget, to the standardexpected of the organization.The Director, ConstructionServices manages the schedulesof work and delegate tasks tocolleagues and their teams, toensure that each phase of thebuild is completed as planned todeliver a fully compliant projectto meet the organizationrequirements.Performs duties in alignmentwith the 2019 – 2024 COTAStrategic Plan and in support ofthe organization’s vision ToMove Every Life Forward.Oversees the construction, andrenovation of all capital projects.• Overseeing the logistical requirements ofproject (s)• Supervises work of all staff and theirteams including construction and projectmanagers, field staff, and administrativepersonnel.• Meets regularly with internal customers,third parties and managers to report onprogress• Sets targets, objectives and is responsiblefor all supervised staff• Regularly review timings, budget, labor,risk and project plans to ensure workstays on track• Reports to Chief Engineer and MechanicalOfficer, and board members on projectsprogress• Supplies financial records as requested• Recommends policy and procedure forimprovements• Monitors performance against agreedcriteria• Ensures all contractual obligations arefulfilled• Ensures the delivery of high-quality workwithin contract timescales• Deals with contract disputes andmitigates the impact of any issues• Works in an office setting and, in a field,setting.• Lead the electrification program andassociated infrastructure development tofacilitate a transition to a zero emissionfixed route fleet by 2035.Support the Chief Engineering andMechanical Officer by providing projectleadership of Sustainability Plan and FleetTransition Plan development,implementation, and monitoring;
