Team with cross-functional colleagues and association members to create communication strategies for campaigns including collective bargaining, legislative advocacy and community healthcare access.Facilitate clear and effective communication among association staff and members by writing, editing and distributing content by phone, email, text message, social media groups, printed materials and various software tools such as Slack, Google and Outlook.Independently manage media and public relations, building productive relationships with local, state and national journalists, providing key information and interviews, and placing stories that advance the mission of the association and its members. Cultivate front-line nurses and healthcare professionals as media spokespeople through formal training, individual coaching and by delivering talking points.Write and edit press releases, letters, speeches, articles, member bulletins, print and digital advertisements and social media content. Align messaging with organizational objectives and the circumstances of a particular campaign and/or group of association members.Integrate the needs of a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders into all communications and channels.
