Plan, organize, and conduct industry conferences and summits on safety, standards, and medical technology regulation· Established and manage new AAMI Health IT standards initiative and corresponding international initiative to develop standards for health software· Led effort to develop guidance for quality systems for combination products· Initiated and chaired initial joint AAMI-UL effort to develop standards for medical device interoperability· Develop and implement association strategies vis-à-vis emerging medical technologies · Assist association leadership in business operations and strategic planning · Represent AAMI at national and international conferences, summits, and other events· Liaise with other standards development organizations and American National Standards Institute staff and committees· Liaise with foreign professional societies, standards institutions and regulatory authorities to promote recognition and adoption of AAMI, ISO, and IEC standards overseas · Ensure compliance with antitrust and intellectual property laws· Identify and develop new products, promotions, and services related to department activities· Assist in the promotion, and marketing of standards and related products to achieve gross sales income of ~$2 M per annum· Responsible for departmental role in the recruitment and retention of corporate members, generating corporate dues income of $4M per annum· Assist CEO’s executive assistant in Board of Directors management (preparing agendas, board books, etc.)
