About Joseph Kopalek
With over 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry, I am an expert in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance, natural gas field operations and construction, and RNG/sustainability reporting. As the former VP of EHS at UGI Utilities, Inc, I facilitated all aspects of EHS compliance for the natural gas and electric utility company, serving customers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. I have a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies and policies that enhance safety performance, environmental protection, and sustainability reporting. I have successfully managed over 50 active remediation sites, supported the corporate ESG process, and collaborated with cross-functional teams on financial planning, budget development, and operational efficiency. I have also led field operations and construction for natural gas distribution, transmission, gathering pipeline assets, and renewable natural gas projects.
