Summary:The Sr. Director of Finance Operations – BH will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the financial operations of University Health’s Behavioral Health hospitals. Provides financial leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, optimizes financial performance and supports the academic health center’s mission of providing accessible, state-of-the-art quality healthcare to our community. Reporting directly to the CFO, while working closely with the COO of BH, executive leadership, Finance and operational teams to drive financial strategies, manage budgets and improve operational efficiencies. Job Duties and Responsibilities 1. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with enterprise-wide initiatives to improve service, efficiency, compliance, and data integrity goals.2. Collaborate with executive leaders and external partners to develop long-term strategic plans, progress operations, forecast and drive continuous improvement.3. Manage third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee implementation of innovative technologies and systems to enhance financial performance.4. Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, revenue cycle management and cost containment initiatives.5. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support data-driven decisions for long-term success.6. Develop, lead and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, financial operations and continuous improvement.7. Ensure strong financial controls, data governance and compliance with healthcare regulations.8. Ensure adherence to federal, state and local regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.9. Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.10. Promote collaboration across departments to improve financial processes and patient care efficiency.11. Develop routine and ad hoc financial/process analysis to drive actionable value-added insights.
