   As Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, I am responsible for the overall operation of NYPA\'s generation and transmission assets and the historic 524-mile New York State Canal System to ensure financial strength and business resilience, maintaining focus on public and employee safety, environmental and technical compliance, talent development and efficient operations. This includes the Commerial Operations team, including Energy Resource Management, Customer Clearn Energy Solutions and Account Management team overseeing NYPA\'s Key Accounts, like NY City Governmental Customers and Westchester Governmental Customers, and NYPA\'s 51 Municipal & Rural Electric Cooperative Accounts. This team’s mission is to accelerate economic growth throughout New York State by supporting customers and their strategic initiatives. I lead a fantastic team of over incredibly talented people in the execution of strategic initiatives including: • Asset management strategies to preserve the value of our hydropower assets, • Responsible decarbonization of NYPAs fleet of generators with storage, hydrogen, and emerging technologies • Expansion of transmission to be sure New York\'s electric grid remains resilient and supports robust injection of renewable energy, • Supporting decarbonization of our customers • Effectively managing the historic New York State (Erie) Canal System as we reimagine its its operations to enhance its economic and recreation benefits. All of this is executed on a strong foundation and focus on Engineering Excellence, Enterprise Resilience, Digitization, Environmental, Social & Governance [ESG], Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and effective Resource Alignment.
