About Joseph Helseth
As a biomechanics researcher with a passion for sports, I enjoy the challenge of translating foundational biomechanical insights into innovative products and solutions that enable athletes to perform at a high level. Past research I have contributed to ranges from gaining a fundamental understanding of how forces act upon the body and how muscles function to applied research examining how diet, exercise, and athletic gear influence physical capabilities and the underlying mechanisms of movement. This research has involved a wide variety of individuals from children to the elderly, spanning all levels of ability. Regardless of the population the goal of the research has always been the same…to gain an understanding of human motion and exploring ways to enhance a person’s ability to perform that motion.
