About Joseph H.

I am a critical thinker who is ready for new challenges to tackle using a career of investment from great leaders, mentors, and innovators. My career has been exceptionally rewarding not only from the satisfaction of supporting our national security but because of the family that I got to work with throughout my time in uniform. I have had the opportunity to lead small teams through difficult tactical problem-sets all over phone lines as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) crew member to being able to enable the Commander of United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) to advise the President and other senior civilian and military leaders on how to address truly strategic problems while serving as the lead Strike Advisor and nuclear expert for the Combatant Command. I have been fortunate enough to lead organizations from just a few members to well over 300 members. Those leadership opportunities meant so much because I could help improve the lives and careers of those working with me. Beyond the technical and leadership skills, I have had the privilege of teaching in every single assignment I have had to include teaching at the United States Weapons School and the schoolhouse for initial skills training for ICBM maintainers and operators, plus the cruise missile maintainers! My last challenge was integrating commercial space operations into military plans and operations. This required full use of my tactical, technical knowledge to my alliance building skills to poise the organization for rapid expansion in capabilities and partners. The Air Force invested in schooling me in debrief, leadership, problem solving, instructional design, strategic thinking, and networking to achieve mission success. Furthermore, my Air Force family, from supervisors to peers to those I was privileged to lead, have all helped me refine my skills to enhance mission effectiveness while taking care of the people.I know my career has been unique and rewarding. Now, I look forward to applying my skills to new problems with teammates whose respect and trust I will earn. I am eager to learn. I am eager to continue to succeed. And I am eager to join the right team!
