The position involves a close partnership with the Business Director, providing insightful financial analysis and forward-looking scenario planning to ensure sustained profitability and effective risk management.Central to the role is driving the commercial agenda, from customer tender negotiations to investment appraisals that advise directors on the financial viability of key projects. Accountability extends to tracking financial performance to identify trends and opportunities that drive strategic change, while leveraging AI and advanced data tools to contribute to efficiencies in weekly and monthly reporting.Further responsibilities include the management and development of a team of Finance Business Partners, Management Accountants, Assistant MAs and Finance Administration staff, overseeing their professional growth and guiding the delivery of budgets and forecasts to senior stakeholders. This entails providing regular updates on depot performance to the Head of Finance and ensuring overall financial accuracy across all accountable sites.
