About Joseph Fitzgerald

With over six years of experience in the wireless internet industry, I have developed core competencies in network deployment, operations, performance, and optimization. My mission is to deliver fast, reliable, and affordable internet access to underserved communities and markets. I have a strong background in physics, engineering, and quality assurance, which enables me to apply scientific and analytical methods to solve complex problems. I am currently a Senior Regional Director at Starry, Inc, a leading provider of wireless broadband services. In my current role, I oversee end to end network deployment and operations for three markets in the East Region: Boston, MA, Washington, DC, and Denver, CO. I manage similar teams in each market and work to standardize team structure and process across markets. I also collaborate with other departments, such as sales, account management, and subscriber acquisition, to create and align workflows around net subscriber goals. I have helped stabilize and improve operations in Boston and Denver markets, and promoted a strong team culture and work ethic.    I took over end to end network deployment and operations for the Boston, MA, Washington, DC, and Columbus, Ohio markets. I managed similar teams in each market and began work on standardizing team structure and process across markets in the East Region. This was a travel intensive role with over 50% of time spent on the road. What I accomplished:Helped stabilize and improve operations in Boston & Columbus markets.Promote strong team culture and work to unite teams around company objectives.Standardize processes and best practices across markets.Meet deployment and subscriber goals across markets.When Starry restructured, we eliminated the Columbus market. I took over the Denver, CO office and shifted gears to maintain network performance and motivate teams to come together and improve in challenging conditions. I\'ve the region through restructuring and out of chapter 11, refocusing the team on new company goals and initiatives.
