ABOUT JOSEPH F.

I began my career with the United States Secret Service in 1994 as a special agent in the Miami Field Office where I was assigned to various criminal squads combating financial crimes against the United States and the American public. I conducted numerous federal investigations and protective advances in the South Florida area as well as numerous countries in Central and South America. In I was selected to the Presidential Protective Division (PPD) where I served as a shift agent to Presidents William Jefferson Clinton and George W. Bush. I was also assigned to the First Lady\'s Detail for Hillary Rodham Clinton. During my tenure on PPD, I conducted numerous domestic and foreign advances for both Presidents and their Cabinet Members. I served on the Presidential Counter-Surveillance Unit performing threat assessments for both Administrations.In July of 2004, I was transferred to the New York Field Office where I was a group leader in both investigative and protection squads. I was selected as the field office coordinator to oversee the security plan for three National Special Security Events held in New York City and a security site coordinator for the Republican National Convention.In September of 2008, I was promoted to the position of Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge of the Criminal Investigative Division at U.S. Secret Service Headquarters in Washington, DC. Here, I supervised the Electronic Crimes Task Forces and the Investigative Regions Sections. From 2012 through 2016, I was assigned to the Special Operations Division where I supervised the Administrative and Budget Sections.In January of 2016, I was promoted to the position of Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division. In this division, I managed the 24hr Protective Intelligence Operations Center. I am currently the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Investigative Operations Branch of the Criminal Investigative Division.
