Joe is an accomplished, innovative, and energetic sales professional with over 25 years of outside sales experience and knowledge in the paperboard industry. He has expertise in packaging substrate sales and building direct sales relationships with Folding Carton Converters, Commercial Printers, and Extrusion and Corrugated Lamination businesses in North America. A skilled communicator, he has a reputation for establishing strong relationships with both customers and colleagues by developing consensus and trust. He excels at assessing and working with diverse personalities and perspectives. Throughout his career, Joe has successfully analyzed businesses, markets, growth opportunities, and customer needs, and executed strategic and tactical solutions driving higher volumes, revenues and profits.Most recently Joe was Sales Manager - Packaging Group for Sappi - North America where he was responsible for the development/preparation of the Northeastern Market for Sappi’s new solid bleached board products being developed for the paperboard market. While at Sappi, he successfully facilitated all areas of development, including training, to enable Sappi to enter the paperboard market, and collaborated in the development of a go-to-market strategy for new direct paperboard sales. Prior to Sappi, Joe was at WestRock/MWV for 15 years where he held a variety of senior sales positions. He was responsible for the direct sales of all of WestRock\'s paperboard packaging grades and increased annual sales by over $5 million. Joe has also held various sales positions at International Paper, Temboard and Temple-Inland.
