I have over 35 years of experience managing civil and geotechnical engineering projects, including geotechnical field exploration programs, engineering analysis, and developing recommendations for design and construction. I have also prepared construction drawings and specifications for large civil and dam projects. My field experience includes managing and performing observation and testing programs for earthwork construction, ground improvement programs, and installation of a variety of deep and shallow foundation systems. I\'ve been involved in a wide range of projects, including design and construction of foundations for high-performance buildings (research and development facilities), seismic retrofit of hospital structures (OSHPD-regulated facilities), embankment dam retrofit design and construction, and forensic studies of the geotechnical aspects of distress in structures and utilities.
