ABOUT JOSEPH BUCHER
I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics with an emphasis in Statistical Analysis from the University of Utah in 2018. The program allowed me to gain knowledge in multiple programs including R and Tableau to visualize data for easy and beautiful understanding. Over the last two years I have been working in the Re-Commerce space for Geartrade.com working my way up from a Consignment Intake Specialist to a Buyer. As the industry leader in Re-Commerce, our focus is on sustainability in the outdoor industry. In 2023 we received the Innovation Award from Outdoor Retailer for our Re-Commerce Consignment Service and just won it again in 2024. Our goal is to keep clothing and equipment out of the landfill and get it back into the hands of people who will get more life out of it. I have been lucky enough to help in the exponential growth of the company over the last two years, from solving problems to creating changes that are necessary for a startup\'s survival. The outdoors is my home, so when I am not behind the desk you can find me standing in a river fly fishing, snowboarding in the Wasatch range, or putting up a trad route in the Cottonwoods.\"The mountains are calling and I must go.\"
