ABOUT JOSEPH BITTNER

As a Learning & Development professional my experience includes: analyzing and identifying learning and development needs and creating solutions and resources that produce a return on investment; implementing instructional design methodologies; managing training teams and programs; designing, developing, implementing and evaluating curricula and training programs; and, leading “train-the-trainer” workshops. I also teach for major universities and specialize in continuing professional education, adult learning and post-secondary learning. I offer four distinct skills:1. Teaching: My experience includes secondary; post-secondary; continuing, professional adult education; and, corporate training. I am honored to have received the NYU School of Professional Studies Award for Teaching Excellence and Award for Outstanding Service.2. Instructional Design: I have implemented all phases of the ADDIE instructional design methodology and designed and developed firm-wide curricula and training programs for multiple services lines.3. Train-the-Trainer: I develop and implement “experiential” train-the-trainer programs focused on: Program design and development; Teaching, facilitating, and classroom management; and, Assessing and evaluating teaching and learning. I also teach Presentation Skills classes.4. Author/Developer: I have authored learning materials for the AICPA and Connecticut Society of CPAs and written college-level Accounting Workbooks. As Chief Learning Officer I design and develop material and activities for our training programs.As an L&D specialist I deliver a significant return on investment by: Improving the productivity of client service professionals; Implementing solutions and delivering consistency in operations and methodologies; Creating assets in the form of customized learning solutions; and, Enhancing the firm\'s culture. Most importantly I make a significant and notable contribution to the mission and success of the organization.
