Oversee curricular, programmatic, and professional development departments for the district; identified by President Obama as one of the most innovative schools in the country. Collaborate with the Co-Director to facilitate, direct, and monitor the school’s progress toward our strategic plan; work with the RI Department of Education to implement required state initiatives; write grants and oversee grant-funded programs (including Federal Grants)- currently over 1 million dollars annually; oversee the curriculum implementation, including literacy, math, project-based learning, and internships and develop curriculum, structures, and processes for teachers to create individualized projects and inquiry while meeting state goals, and the goals of student learning plans. Oversee district reporting to the state, post-high school access program. Innovated an assessment structure and process for student projects and internship learning. Oversee the professional development department; plan and run professional development for administrators supervise professional development for staff; serve as the Director of Career and Technical Education; oversee the internship and partnership departments; spearhead a literacy team to improve the culture of literacy and implement school-wide literacy strategies in all workshops and projects; formalized the MLL (Multi-Language Learner) department and interventions; supervise the College Counseling team. Implement and manage staff facilitate reflective practice communities in order to interrogate data and identify and expand bright spots in our practice.
