ABOUT JOSEPH ARBALLO

I’m a scientist with a PhD in Nutritional Biology from UC Davis, with a focused expertise in metabolism, inflammation, and bioactive compounds—particularly retinoids, oxylipins, and lipid signaling. My research spans both molecular mechanisms and translational outcomes, including biomarker analysis, gene expression, and metabolomics.I’ve independently led studies involving preclinical models, omics data, and behavioral phenotyping, with multiple first-author publications and national conference presentations. I’m passionate about translating complex scientific findings into clear, clinically relevant insights—especially in therapeutic areas such as gastrointestinal health, liver disease, and metabolic dysfunction. I’ve also mentored students, trained interns, and collaborated across disciplines, with strong hands-on experience in LC-MS data analysis, HPLC, qPCR, and nutritional interventions.
