ABOUT JOSEPH PEARSON
I am a Data Scientist and former Structural engineer from New Zealand.Having graduated university with an honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, I have spent the last eight years working in various engineering consultancies designing a wide variety of buildings, from high end Architectural homes, to multi storey apartment buildings. I have experience managing projects from conceptualization through to completion including stakeholder management. The skills I developed through engineering, and a strong interest in using technology to model and analyse real world phenomenon led me to the Data Science immersive course at General Assembly where I learnt the skills to develop models that solve complex problems and tell interesting stories through visualization. As the data science field continues to grow, I am excited to learn and develop within it.I want to work in a diverse team that fosters a sense of individuality and pushes me to continue my development. I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and learning the different approaches people can take to solve various problems.
