ABOUT JOSEFINE BOTHA
My work sits at the intersection of business ambition and organisational reality, translating what a company wants to become into the people strategy, structure and capability to get there.I work with fast-growing tech companies at the moments that matter most: when entrepreneurial speed starts to require real structure, and when organisational choices determine whether you scale with intention or scramble to catch up.Most recently at Vinted, I joined at around 500 employees and we grew to 2,100+ across five countries, reaching profitability in 2023 and a €5B valuation in 2024, with annual revenues exceeding €800M. I built and scaled the international, distributed People Experience function (core HR: Business Partnering, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, People Operations and People Technology & Analytics), growing the team from 6 to 35+ professionals, and contributed to shaping company-wide people strategy as part of the People Leadership Team through hypergrowth, international expansion, acquisitions and the shift to profitability, maintaining an eNPS of ~70 and attrition below 15%. I design both the strategy and the operating structures that enable organisations to scale with focus and accountability: organisational design, leadership capability, reward and performance systems, and the people infrastructure that holds it all together.I’m also a certified systemic business coach. Coaching informs how I lead and partner with leaders and executives in tech and start-up environments, strengthening decision-making, resilience and effectiveness as complexity grows.I bring clarity, optimism and a strong bias for action. I move fast, follow through and stay calm under pressure. I’m at my best in ambitious companies that understand that how they build their organisation is part of how they win.
