ABOUT JOSEFINA RAMIREZ NOTSINNEH

Experienced in working with a wide-range of public affairs governmental and corporate entities on successful legislative, community outreach, advocacy and media relations campaigns. Currently with Children Now, a nonpartisan umbrella research, policy development and advocacy organization dedicated to promoting children\'s health, education and well-being in California. I will be leading Children Now\'s coalition and policy efforts in early childhood and dual language learner and English learner policy development and advocacy work. Former Governor Newsom Appointee, and member of the Executive Leadership Team at the California Department of Rehabilitation, as the Deputy Director overseeing the Office of Legislation and Communications. Spent almost 4-years at Ogilvy Public Relations, in their Sacramento public affairs practice, as a key member of the West Coast Latino outreach specialty team. Prior to Ogilvy, I spent a decade working in state government and politics, progressing from completing California’s prestigious “Capital Fellowship” program, serving as a legislative aide and consultant, being a committee consultant with the Assembly business and professions committee and serving as the capitol director for a legislator. Throughout my experience in public policy, politics and community affairs, and leadership – I\'ve been immersed in developing successful state and local programs that meet the needs of diverse communities in California. I have critical experience working with local stakeholders to create partnership opportunities to find solutions to pressing issues that multicultural communities face in the private and public sectors, and also have vast experience with political campaigns and interacting with ethnic media.
