ABOUT JOSEF AL-RAHEME
I am a British-qualified teacher (QTS) with a Master’s degree in English Language Teaching (Distinction) from London Metropolitan University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Modern Languages. I am currently working as an International Primary and Secondary Teacher in Vietnam, where I deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned teaching across both phases.Alongside my teaching career, I am preparing to pursue a Doctorate in TESOL at the University of St Andrews, with a strong academic interest in innovation, assessment, and learner engagement in international education.My professional experience spans both UK and international school settings, including teaching GCSE, A-Level, and ESOL as well as working in primary and lower secondary classrooms. I have also taught at the university level, delivering English language instruction to undergraduate students at the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) and the National University of Science and Technology (NU). These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching to diverse academic levels, cultural contexts, and learner needs.I am recognised for building high-engagement classrooms, maintaining strong safeguarding and wellbeing standards, and supporting learners academically and personally in multilingual, multicultural environments.
