About Jose Ramirez

Dedicated, responsible, dependable, and value oriented; a few words that my peers, mentors, and subordinates use to describe the type of character that drives me. I am the logistical officer for the 1st battalion of the 64th armored regiment stationed out of Fort Stewart Georgia. I have successfully deployed 500+ soldiers to and from five countries across Europe and ensured they were equipped with food, water, and fuel to accomplish our unified mission. I have done so with zero deficiencies or failures. I have served as a company executive officer, focused on the maintenance and readiness for equipment valued in excess of $36 million. In this role I planned and supervised the ordering of parts, repair of vehicles, and met any logistical requirements for training exercises. Successes include deploying 130 soldiers and their equipment to and from Germany for a three month deployment with no loss of personnel or equipment. Previous experience included assistant operations planner and mechanized infantry platoon leader. With that being said, I am different because I have the uncanny ability to listen. In this hectic line of work most have forgotten to listen. Most choose to listen to the content that will benefit their progression; I have learned to lend my ear to those who are willing to share their thoughts, regardless of the topic of conversation. Building a climate of respect and giving my peers and subordinates the comfort to speak their minds has allowed me to progress to the position I currently hold. I am passionate about what I do because I take pride in what I do. I have a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy with a major in mechanical engineering. I also have earned a certification in lean six sigma as a black belt from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
