ABOUT JOSE RODRIGUEZ
I am a Software Engineer based in Europe. I have been working on various projects working on internal systems and data infrastructure, using Kotlin, Go, Kafka, and AWS technologies. Some of my achievements include transitioning the company away from its self-hosted authentication mechanism, implementing and maintaining authentication and authorization libraries, migrating the email and worker systems to AWS, introducing and bringing Kafka for Personio and creating standards and tooling for Kafka Streams and data governance. I have also been involved in code reviews and candidate screening and interviewing for Go and Kotlin roles.I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana, where I graduated in 2019. I also have multiple Cisco certifications in Routing and Switching. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and a beginner in Portuguese and German. I am passionate about learning new technologies and learning about best practices, as well as sharing my knowledge and experience with others. I enjoy working in a collaborative and agile environment, where I can contribute to the company\'s vision and goals delivering tons of impact. I am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow as a software engineer.
