ABOUT JOSE ORTEGA

My name is Jose Ortega and I was born to be a leader. I have been fortunate enough to be around some great leaders and the one thing that I have learned over the years is that a simple hello and a good morning can make someone\'s day. As a potential candidate to your business I can guarantee what you will get from me is a leader that will impact the employees as well as the business from day one. I am an operations leader who drives the daily operations by strong partnerships with all the areas of the warehouse, learning a little bit of each area and seeing the impacts that each department may have on the other. Educating those around me why we do what we do and making everyone understand what the goal is and answering the WHYs. Equally important are my team members, who count on me to create a safe and exciting environment to come to every single day.In my previous two roles at Ross and GXO I have developed the skills to lead other supervisors through proper training and development to ensure the daily operations are being met through the goals I have set for them. At GXO we have seen an increase from 75% fulfillment rate for the customer to over 95% in less than a year. I enjoy building strong teams that feel empowered within the roles they are in and begin to see career advancement through that empowerment. Every interaction with a team member is an opportunity to educate, drive and empower a culture of true inclusion.
