Responsible for the development of scope of works and cost estimates for Public Assistance grants, based on disaster related damages. The objective of the scope of works and cost estimates development is to validate and determine reasonable cost to restore damaged facilities back to pre-disaster conditions. The variety of facilities includes public infrastructure, like power lines, substations, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, roads, culverts, embankments and other types of water management facilities. The property types also include public buildings and recreational parks. Additional duties include occasional review of scope of works and cost estimates developed by peers to ensure they are reasonable, accurate and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Provide technical assistance on engineering and construction related policies, procedures, and principles. Identifying missing information and coordinate with the counterparts to resolve issues, that can cause delays on the projects flow. Identifying eligibility issues and addressing them with the appropriate leadership, in the Consolidated Resource Center and the counterparts in the field.
