I\'m Jose Cortes, a finance professional based in New York City. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and moved to the US for college. I graduated magna cum laude from Bentley University in Waltham, MA, with a major in Finance and a minor in Sports Management. With a passion for delivering results and creating solutions, I\'ve ventured into various sectors, consistently seeking opportunities to make a difference.Currently, I\'m in the Business Consultant Program at EY, starting in the Financial Services Risk Management sector, where I collaborate with one of the major US Banks.Prior to my current role, I gained valuable experience through internships that provided insights into different aspects of the financial world. At Advent International, I worked closely with the Management Company department, enhancing daily operations and gaining a comprehensive understanding of private equity deal processes. During the summer of 2022, I joined Davivienda Corredores as an Investment Banking Intern, where I contributed to financial valuations and delivered results to clients. My journey also took me to the startup ecosystem, where I interned at an insurance-technology company.
