About Jose Santana

Research & Development: advanced materials characterization and materials development approaches to solve complex material-related manufacturing along with developing next generation aerospace technologies. • Successfully demonstrated ASTM, MIL-SPEC compliant electroplating baths meeting new European regulations therefore providing viable path to market for relevant technology platforms across all business units with an estimated revenue in the hundreds of millions.• Oversaw 9-12 month effort evaluating performance of prototype corrosion sensor. Identified several flaws in sensing device leading to overall improvement in performance reliability.Laboratory Laboratory: owner of wet chemistry, materials testing, and advanced characterization laboratories. • Perform materials characterization (BET, various spectroscopic methods, catalyst evaluation, etc.) to support research & development initiatives along with product failures in the field.•Responsible for all areas of lab, from recommissioning, working with general contractors, plumbing, electrical, equipment identification, purchasing, as well as test rig design & development. Developed test rigs to evaluate products and/or experimental materials which included the design, building, and programming of the rigs.
