ABOUT JOSE-LUIS GALLEGOS-PEREZ
Currently, multidisciplinary research is fundamental to obtain significant results in problems that should be solved in science. Analytical chemistry is broadly used in fields such as biosciences, environmental sciences, toxicology and medicine. My goal is to apply bio/analytical chemistry effectively to find, identifiy and quantify biomarkers and bioactive compounds that can be useful in early detection of diseases or to understand at molecular level the biological pathways. In light of these issues, my research focuses on the development and application of classical methods and modern analytical instrumentation to study research problems in fields such as neuroscience, environmental science and medicine.
