About Jose Gonzalez

I have over 20 years experience in K-12 Education from working directly with students in the classroom to administrative experience. The areas of most interest to me are the integration of technology in the classroom, teaching teachers on creating the 21st century learning environment, promoting and encouraging student tech leaders, student voices and student activism and project based learning. For the last 7 years, I have trained teachers in 21th century learn skills focusing on the TIM and SAMR models of instruction. I am firm believer in leveraging to Student Tech Teams to encourage interests in STEM and to foster student peer to peer mentorships. I recently received the STEM Engagement award from Verizon
