Jose Galvan is a Senior Associate with Schellman & Company, LLC based in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining Schellman & Company, LLC in 2022, Jose worked as a SOC auditor at a small cybersecurity firm and as a regulatory compliance risk consultant at the Big 4 specializing in enhancing client’s risk management programs, corrective action processes, and helping clients to adhere to the best regulatory practices. Jose is a member of Schellman’s Texas service delivery team and national ISO team acting as an ISO team lead for ISO 27001, ISO 42001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 22301 and CSA STAR certification audits. He has experience in developing audit methodologies and performing gap analysis against various audit standards including ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and ISO 22301 for clients in various industries including Business, Financial and Technology services. In addition to over four years of experience in cybersecurity and ISO certification services, he is certified as an ISO 27001 lead auditor, ISO 22301 lead auditor, and ISO 42001 lead auditor, and has obtained the certificate of cloud security knowledge (CCSK). Jose is also a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Alum, and most recently, a mentor.Jose was born in the Dominican Republic, and was one of the first members in his family to graduate from college in the USA as well as attain his MBA. Raised in The Bronx, New York, Jose knows what it take to put your head down and fight for what you want.
