Leading the design and development of brakes system to ensure optimised vehicle performance and delivery of vehicle attributes- Supporting the Brakes and NVH Attribute team in the target setting- Define the target deployment in subsystems and component target setting- Supporting new platform packaging, early concept & styling feasibility studies and detailed design- Representing the department in design reviews and during test and development activities if required- Working cross functionally within the organisation to ensure vehicle performance attributes target achievement, cost and weight targets are achieved- Supporting the system and component, design, release, development and validation plans in association with functional experts and in line with technical risk management processes- Supporting the development of the supply chain in association with function group buyers to ensure delivery of components and systems on schedule for all phases of prototype, pilot, pre-production and production build- Supporting the manufacturability and compliance with quality standards of all components and systems within the defined BOM through interface with manufacturing site and suppliers- Reviewing and managing chassis systems engineering concerns raised in manufacturing and warranty- Controlling DFM and DFMEA as required- Build support (prototype and production).
