Performed factory and site acceptance test of Monarch SCADA/Energy Management System from OSII. Implemented development platform for Energy Management System. Set up Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition database (SCADA), Front End Processor (FEP) for new Energy Management System. Established Inter Control Communication Protocol (ICCP) links with the Energy Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), Battleground plant, Ingleside plant, West Texas Permian loads, Taft Plant and Constellation. Set up virtual remote terminal unit communications with ERCOT. Established and set Automatic Generation Control for ERCOT to qualify OXY as Qualifying Scheduling Entity (QSE). Perform QSE services to OXY assets instead of paying another QSE several millions annual fee for this service. Implemented Energy Management System programs to calculate CPS2, Ancillary Services and Governor Response for the Energy Reliability Council of Texas. Set up EMS to receive dispatches from SPP for Wichita and Wasson plants. Create alarms when plants do not follow their dispatches. Created operations dispatcher displays and executive dashboard displays. Support Energy Management System 24X7. Create interfaces, displays and calculations in GMS to sell Constellation regulation services from Taft plant in Entergy market. Establish telemetry to Non-OXY Load Acting as a Resource (LAAR) customers, represent them in ERCOT market as their QSE and set up calculations to trip them in case of a frequency event or verbal dispatch from ERCOT during a LAAR event. Integrate TAFT plant to GMS. Set up ERCOT nodal database and ICCP associations. Create calculations and alarms for new nodal market in ERCOT.Set up GMS databases to participate in Miso market. Establish ICCP associations with Miso to dispatch Taft plant in that market.Test and support Neplan and electrical.Test and support Smart Plant Instrumentation software.Test and support Pipeline Instrumentation and Design software.
