About Jose Crespo

As the Vice President of Operations at Sintavia, I lead the operations team which consists of AM Operations professionals, Post-processing professionals, Equipment and Facilities professionals, nondestructive testing and inspection (NDT) and chemical processing (CP) services for the additive manufacturing (AM) industry. Sintavia is a global leader in the design, development, and production of metal AM parts for aerospace and defense applications. I have many years of experience in NDT and CP for AM, aerospace, marine, and space industries, and I hold multiple credentials in liquid penetrant inspection, Barkenhausen stress inspection, and eddy current testing. My mission is to ensure the highest quality and safety standards for metal AM parts, and to contribute to the innovation and sustainability of this fast-growing field. I am also a director on the board of the Additive Manufacturer Green Trade Association (AMGTA), a non-profit organization that promotes the environmental benefits of AM. I am passionate about building people, programs, and shops, and I have a proven track record of creating and developing FAA Part 145 shops, landing gear overhaul and repair programs, DER and repair specifications, aerospace surface coatings and electro-plating, NADCAP process accreditation, and ISO9001 / AS9100 & AS9110 quality management systems. I guide teams through complex processes by establishing close relationships with all the stakeholders, and I communicate constantly with my teams to ensure project success on every job.
