Provide strategic counsel to the senior leaders of a large, privately held company in a number of key areas including risk management, artificial intelligence (AI), privacy, cybersecurity, corporate law, intellectual property, compliance, contract negotiation, vendor management and other related areas. • Provide strategic advice and counsel on business and legal issues, including managing risk, managing AI, protecting intellectual property, closing key contracts, and other key issues • Lead the Security Compliance team, including privacy and security compliance efforts such as: PCI Data Security Standard, EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), New York Cybersecurity Regulation (23 NYCRR 500), ISO 27001/2 standard, and other areas• Negotiate, draft and remediate contracts with clients, key suppliers and vendors covering an array of issues including intellectual property, software licensing, privacy, information security, GLBA, vendor management, mobile applications, and other related topics • Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage risk and compliance with GLBA, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR, CCPA, New York Cybersecurity Regulation, ISO 27001/2 standards, and other laws, regulations and standards
