Mouse splenocytes were used to implement human studies.• Cell-based studies include cytotoxicity/cell proliferation assays using ATPlite, Caspase assays for apoptosis, cell isolation and differentiation, mixed lymphocyte reactions (MLR), inflammatory mediator release using Multiplex ELISA Array, and immunophenotyping by FACS.
