Joseph Ortiz has been working in the Medical Cannabis Industry in New York for over six years. He has been a Medical Cannabis Patient for +18 years in multiple states. He has a passion for the entire cannabis industry. In his short tenure working for one of NYS’s RO’s (aka: MSO’s), Joseph consistently delivered the highest sales revenue; totaling over +$2million in sales in the time span of under 2 years. He achieved this, while creating a new MMJ Card patient assistance onboarding program, to help new NYS MMJ Patients access their NYS MMJ Certificate & Card at the while at the dispensary. In late 2019 Joseph started running the in-shop I.T, & Patient Outreach for The Botanist Medical Cannabis Dispensary, & was trained by each specific software manufacturer on their dispensary software: BioTrackTHC, Weedmaps, Leafly Business, iHeartJane, NYS PMP system, & 8x8 VOIP phone systems. Joseph also has an exceptional understanding of the NYS MMJ Patient/Practitioner elements of NYS’s MMJ program. Joseph is an experienced Firefighter/EMT, with a demonstrated history of working in Public Health & Safety. Skilled in Firefighting, EMS, victim extraction, managerial/scene control, MS Office, de-escalation techniques, hospitality/customer service, sales (b2b, & b2c), strategic planning, with strong understanding of para-military/professional/corporate structure/leadership duties. Joseph was injured in the line of duty as a Class-A Interior Firefighter. Throughout his 21+ year recovery. Joseph found that the best medication for increased quality of life, handling of severe chronic issues derived from his injuries was Cannabis! It was through his first hand experience with severe chronic pain, after having 30+ Orthopedic surgeries, with his former EMS training, Joseph began researching a safe, & effective way to achieve an increased “quality of life”. Through his research, he found Cannabis to be the most effective/functional solution. In his role as a Founder & CEO of Private Caregivers Collective, Joseph has relied on his extensive knowledge of peer-reviewed science based studies; accompanied by his +7 years of cannabis cultivation & cannabis patient consultation experience he has developed the most efficient, yet cost effective, all-in-one/set-n-forget home organic cannabis cultivation system. Joseph provides a myriad of skills, that can be utilized to educate people on Cannabis, & its public health benefits. He’s leveraged this knowledge to help dispensaries, attain larger market share by increasing their consumer acquisition, & retention.
